A mom's heart strings
It seems as though yesterday I found out I was pregnant with Brailey. I was so excited as I had wanted a baby for quiet some time. Feeling her move around inside of me and being so excited wondering what kind of person she would be. Would she be shy or outgoing. Silly or serious. All the things every mother wonders.
Then she was here. My life has never been the same since she was placed in my arms. There is a love that is so indescribable that a mother has for her children. Everyday for the last three years I just drink her in. I look at her and try to remember something special she does each and every day. I want so badly to remember every sweet moment. There are so many times where I just wanted time to freeze. I wante to remember every detail of that exact moment. Even with doing this the time has just gone by so fast.
Well yesterday we went to Brailey's meet the teacher. She is starting her three year old program. (I feel myself choking up writng this) While we were there there were several points that I was like "WAIT SHE CAN'T BE STARTING SCHOOL YET SHE IS STILL MY LITTLE BABY". With her little hand clung tightly to mine. She would keep looking up at me and say "Mom you are not going to leave me right? You can go to school with me."
I know that Teusday I am going to cry. I know that my heart is going to break a little. As no one has ever kept Brailey other than me and family. She has never been left in a different place with people that she hasn't known all of her life. There is like a piece of me that is so sad and the other part is so happy at the same time.
At the end of the night she was happily running around her new classroom no longer tightly tied to my side. She was eager and excited to play with all of these new things. "Wow" I thought, "She really is ready to do this". My heart broke a little, and still is.
A mom's heart strings to her children are so tightly connected. There is a bond that my children and I have that is so indescribable. A love and a desire to keep them safe and happy all of the days of their lives. They look at me and it stirs something in me.
The Bible says that "Children are a gift from the Lord". How very true that is. They are such a precious gift. I thank God for them. The miraculous miracle that they are.
All of this about to start school business made me realize in new ways how much I love my children.

Fresh word
Proverbs 25:11
A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver
How true this word is. I beleive that God sends us a message through our Pastor or someone who as a voice into your life.
I was listening to Joyce Meyer while getting dressed the other morning (as I always do) and she was talking about how God will let you run from things for a time, but there is a place that we reach that God is going to make us face the things that we have avoided.
I have run from people with harsh personalities. People that are confrontational and are hard to read what they feel. My dad was this personality. He was the source of a lot of the pain that I faced as a child. So I have always avoided these kinds of people
Well I had to go face to face with it this week. I heard that message and then BAM that evening there I was facing that which I had run from for so long. I found myself feeling all of these things that I hadn't felt in so long. I felt an insecurity come over me that I hadn't felt since I was a child.
After I left that location that night I told my husband what I was feeling aobut the way this person was. He then tells me "Yea she is always really nice to you, but this is just how she is."
Then I saw what was going on.
All of this time God softened her heart toward me. He knew that I was not yet ready to confront that personality yet. Now though He knew that I had grown spiritually and that I was now ready.
The thing about moments like these is you realize that you are never to a point where you don't need God daily. God is still doing a work inside of all of us. The great thing is, is that His word promises this...
For I am sure that He who started this good work in you will carry it through until it is finished on the day of Christ Jesus.
Phil. 1:6
God is the one that works on our hearts. He is the one that will complete that work that is in us. That is good news. That means that I am not going to stay where I am forever. That I really am going from glory to glory!!
I just want to encourage you ladies to listen to what those around you are saying. God's word is sent through others to help equip us for what we need each and everyday!

YOUTH GROUP
I am writing to tell you all how amazing God is in our youth group. God gave me a vision about three weeks ago of a girl about to commit suicide. God told me "I am about to send you the hurting and the lost you are going to minister to them, and they will be restored." Well we are starting to see that come into our weekly meetings.
I am so excited!!
God showed up tonight and touched the hearts of our youth. God's word and His presence are so real. Our young people yern for a real God and a real church that moves in power. I am so thankful that we are having that kind of church at our weekly meetings.
Even though we have fun games, do silly things, with crazy lots of food, and loud music at the end of the night it is all about if we changed somebody's life. I feel like that answer is hands down yes.
We are seeing visitors like never before! God is so good! We are finally seeing the harvest of young people that we have been praying for, for the last 4 years!

Jesus kind of Peace
You know it is funny to me how Jesus was always able to keep His peace. When you read the word and see how He had all of these "Religious" people following Him constantly questioning everything He was doing and did.
From healing on the Sabbath.....
To weather He was the Messiah because He was from Galilee...and the list goes on.
Jesus never lost His peace. I just try to picture. Jesus, He knows that He is the one that has been sent to be a sacrifice for the world. He knows that He is the son of God. There is not a question in His mind weather this is true or not.
Then He is constantly questioned.
Life is like that you know?
When you really get what your dream and vision is in life. What it is that you really were created to do in life. Then it is over for you. You live life with a passion and a zeal to get to that goal. It is all consuming.
Then the devil sends dream stealers your way that want to discourage and dishearten you the best to their ability. This is what the religious scholars tried to do to Jesus. They would question Him in front of crowds about how can you be preaching all of this and never go through school and the list goes on of what they would say.
Jesus never lost peace.
He never wavered.
We have to be the same way. No matter how people may discourage you, beat you up, or try to drag you down you have to know that the promise (the dream) that God put inside of you is more real than any kind of doubt that they are telling you. Once you get established on that truth then nothing they can say will touch you.
I just encourage you girls to walk in the Peace that Jesus has given to each one of us. Walk in a knowing that God is going to take care of everything that you could ever want or need, and that the dreams that God has placed on the inside of you will come to pass.

Good life bad life your choice
I just want to talk to you guys about having obedient hearts! There is something about putting action to what we know we are supposed to do. All of us know right from wrong. You know if you are doing things to make your life good or if you are doing things that are making your life bad.
John 2:1-11
1On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus' mother was there, 2and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. 3When the wine was gone, Jesus' mother said to him, "They have no more wine."
4"Dear woman, why do you involve me?" Jesus replied, "My time has not yet come."
5His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you."
6Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.[a]
7Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim.
8Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet."
They did so, 9and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside 10and said, "Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now."
11This, the first of his miraculous signs, Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee. He thus revealed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him.
I love this text.
First get this....This is the first miracle Jesus did. Sure he prophesied over a few people, but until now He hadn't done an amazing feat.
Second. Jesus' mom tells the servants to do as they are told to do.
OK GIRLS
Jesus would not have been able to perform the miracle without their participation!!
This is true in our lives also. So many times we want to see God move and do big things without any action on our parts.
Example: We want God to answer our prayers, but we don't spend anytime reading the word nor praying other than when we want something. We want to have prosperous lives, but we don't tithe. We want to have a family that puts God first, but come Sunday morning we are going to sleep in.
Come on girls let's just get real! You have time for whatever you want to have time for. Let's face it! If I told you that if you would read your Bible for 30 days that you would get one million dollars then you know what? You would read your Bible.
So many times people say...."I just don't have time to go to church or read my Bible"....Ohhh really you have time to watch movies and ohhh you sure find time to eat and brush your teeth. If you have time for those things then you should have time for the word.
You are only going to be as close to God as you choose to be.
There are miracles waiting to happen in your life. You are that water that can be turned into wine, but you hold the key. You have to act. Jesus and the angels are not going to come and make you do what you know is right. You have to submit yourself to God and do what you know you need to do.
When you do you better look out because God will bless your socks off!

Sick sick sick of sick
Well yet again I have gone another week without blogging. I feel like such a slacker! Both of my children have been sick, and to make it worse my husband has been sick also. My niece and nephew have been in from out of town. Then my mother in law gets sick. So to say it short and sweet I am so sick of being sick and having sick people! I am ready for everyone to be back to their sweet healthy selves.
Times like these last two weeks makes me realize how very thankful I am for health. My pastor always says you don't realize how glad you are to walk in healing until you don't feel well! Well that couldn't be more true!
I have been saying healing scriptures over my house now for the last few days. And over myself might I add. I haven't gotten the sick stomach stuff that they have had. I just encourage you all to thank God that you are healthy daily. Quote the word over yourself. I am going to be more diligent in this. I feel like if I am we won't have a sick house like we have had here lately!

So every girl has them. Stressed moments.
I had mine the other day. After being so sick for a week and then having a big ladies event that night I was stressed to say the least. I had an appointment to get my hair cut. I went in and got it all cut off!!
I call it a Steel Magnolias moment. When Julia Roberts decides she just wants everything to be simplified in life. So she goes to Dolly and gets it all chopped off. Only to look in the mirror to see that she really did just cut off all of her hair, and begins to cry.
This was me. I like my hair and have gotten many compliments. It is just still trying to get used to it you know? When I pass the mirror I have to double or triple take because I don't believe that it is really me in the mirror.
So advice.....
When one is stressed and sick don't go get your hair cut! Such decisions last a while and need a clear mind to think about it!

All you need is love
So sorry I was out for so long! I was so so so sick last week with an awful cold, but I am doing so much better now!
The lord has really been dealing with me about love the last few days. God mentions so many times in the Bible about love. Jesus tells us that it is the new comandment. He says that if we love that we don't have to worry about all ten comandments that we will do them easily if we just love first.
Sounds so easy right?
So much of the world doesn't love though. Paul says in Colossians 3:14 But bove all these things put on love which is the bond of perfection. I think sometimes we get critical and judgemental of people when we were just called to love them in the first place.
Dodie Osteen (Joel Osteen of Lakewood Church in Houston Texas) when I heard her speak she said the secret to a successful ministry is to love people. Lots of people will love people for what they will become or after they have come through a lot of stuff, but we are called to love them right were they are.
I think that we would have revival break out on the streets if we would just love eachother instead of tear eachother down. I mean really there is a devil out there that does his best to tear us down. I think of it like this. When we start being rude and critical and sometimes just plain old nasty we are on the wrong team.
You never know what someone has gone through in a day to treat you like they do. Why don't you just love them? I bet you would get a whole lot better of a response then if you just got on a highhorse that is for sure!
