life in the fast lane

Wow life has just been so crazy. You know when you go to bed and as soon as you lie down it is over you are out? That has been me lately!

Chik Nite is this friday and I am ohhh so excited! God is doing such great things! Glamorous Chik is the theme this month it will be ever ohh so much Glamorous. I am also preaching this Saturday ahhhhh! I know crazy busy right!?

I have been working on what we will be doing for November which is our Big CHIKS GIVE BACK! We are going to do a Big Give for a abused women's shelter in Mt. Pleasant. (about an hour up the road from us) God is just lining everything up for us to be a blessing to these ladies. So myself and my amazing Chik Team have been working around the clock to make everything come together. The Chik Team will be heading out sometime in the next two weeks to throw a big party for the women and children at this shelter. I can't wait to see these kids.

These women litteraly had to leave with just the clothes on their backs. I have such a heart and so much compassion for them! God is just stirring up my spirit that big things are going to happen this next month.

On top of all of this we also have a HUGE youth event at the end of October that Bryan and I have been getting ready for! *Deep breath* So do you see that things have been just a little well.....busy? It is ok though! God is doing such miricales. I am just so thankful that I get to be a part of it all!

Sorry I promise I will try and be better and post you guys more and keep you up to speed!

a long long time

So it has been a long long time since my last blog. Sorry girls. Things have been on fast forward around here. I am back in the game though. I promise to do better!

I was tagged by Mrs. Brandi a while back and I am just now getting around to doing that which I was tagged for. (Does that make sense? lol) Thank you Mrs. Brandi for taggin me. You are so wonderful. I am so honored that you thought of me and tagged me....what an honor!

I am to tell you 7 quirky things about myself. I don't know if these are quirky things, but they are things that describe me so here we go.

**I can't help it I am an extreme optimist. No matter how bad things may look or what may be going on I have to try and find the good in the situation and just praise God for that.

**Hanging clothes and sorting sock are like finer nails on a chalkboard to me. I can not stand it. However I love the feeling when it is done all at the same time.

**I believe in segregation when it comes to my silver wear in the dishwasher. I love the feeling of knowing that each is with it's own kind. Spoons with spoons etc.

**I am thankful that I am saved because my version of Hell would be touching raw chicken. There is something about that feeling that just sends me through the roof.

**I love the smell of Windex :D

**I love love love to drink milk with.....tacos and pizza. There is something so yummy Delicious about it. I know I am weird.

**I can sleep with jeans on my bra, but leave socks on me and I go crazy. It makes my feet feel so slimy and gross. I just can't take it.

I would love for anyone that reads this to do it on your blog also. I hate to tag anyone because I don't want you to feel like you have to. But I will say I would love to hear what every one's quirky things are so I know I am not a freak. LOL

WILDCATS

There is just something about football games that just make me giddy. I love the smell of the grass and the sound of the drums. It just takes me back to my high school days.

So tonight we went to the "BIG GAME". It was so wonderful.

Brailey was so excited about the whole thing. She just loved wearing her new cheerleader outfit. She wanted to get down on the field with the Cheerleaders.

Then there was Rylan. He spent the first part of the evening trying to catch bugs. He would just reach his little hands up high in the sky trying to touch the millions of bugs swarming around the lights.

Then he realized the game was wonderful too. So from then on he screamed with all of his heart to cheer on the team. He had so much fun rooting for the team. Watching the both of them was more exciting than the game. They were so into it this time. Granted the other times that we took them to the games they were a lot smaller which does make a difference. They so got into the entire game it was so fun!

The game was wonderful. Our team came in the lead in the last 3 minutes. Then with one minute left on the clock the other team threw a pass to a player in the in zone. We intercepted and won the game. Had we not we would have lost by one point. It was such a wonderful game! Next week is homecoming. So we will do it all again next week. :)

Happy Fall!!!

I love the changing of the seasons! There is something that makes me so excited about the change in the weather! I love changing out the decor in the house. My house is in mainly yellowish goldy color and red. So fall colors go so well with everything. It is probably my favorite season by far....

I know what you are saying Crystal don't forget Christmas! It is good too don't get me wrong but I love love love fall!

So I thought I would show you all some pictures of the my house all decked out for fall!

Tomorrow is the big football game here in our small town! ESPN2 is going to be filming the game. This is the biggest thing our town has ever seen that is for sure lol. Brailey and Bear and me of course will all be going! So check back tomorrow for cute pics of the kids at the game!

8 YEARS!

Today brings back so many memories. September 08, 2000 I would never be the same.

Bryan had asked me out on the 5th of September. We worked out the details that he would take me out after the football game the night of the 8th. I was in the drill team. My week was busy and my friends were going to go out that night. I did not want to go out with this "preachers son".

Thankfully he went down to where we would go get snacks at half time. My best friend at the time saw him and told me I better go out with him. So I did.

I was planning on standing him up though so all I packed to change into was a pair of work out shorts and a t-shirt and flip flops (sexy I know). So off we went. He drove me through a Burger King drive through and got me a whopper and a water. (it was by my request might I add) We stayed out till 3 a.m. talking about all kinds of things....then it came time for him to drop me off at my car and he hugged me and that was it....

I sat in my car completely speechless. For the first time I was respected. He didn't try to put the moves on me. He just wanted to know me for me and who I was. I didn't know how to act as I had never been treated with such respect.

A few days later he sent me flowers telling me he hoped that we could get together again soon. God sent me such a precious gift. Every year on this date I have such a heart of gratitude because I realize how I almost walked away from that gift.

Bryan, I love you babe! I will never be able to show you or tell you how thankful I am for you in my life! I love you so much! Thank you for always supporting, being there, loving, and helping me through everything that we have been through. I know no matter what I can always look to you and you will never leave me nor let me down! I love you and happy 8 years!

School Time!

Well it was Brailey's first day of school. She woke up at the crack of dawn. She was so ready to put on her new school clothes. (Yes she is my child isn't she? lol)

She was so excited the whole time we were getting dressed. She had packed her backpack the night before with her first day of homework. We took pictures of course before we headed out.

The whole way there she was laughing and excited about what the day would hold....

UNTIL....We pulled in the parking lot....

She started screaming "I don't want to go to school!" "I just want to stay with you!" This continued as we unloaded out of the car, into the doors, down the hall, and into the classroom. I looked eye to eye with my little baby girl. I tried to explain to her that school is fun. That mommy would come back and get her just like church. With big tears running down her sweet cheeks she tells me "I just want to be with you mommy."

I almost lost it.

I had to peel her off of my leg to go to her teacher.

I went down the hall to the school office. Talked about school fees etc. Then went back down the hall to listen if my baby was still crying. She wasn't. Thank you Jesus!

So at time to pick her up Bryan, Bear, and me all load up to get our little princess. She comes running out the doors with those little arms wide open screaming "MOMMY DADDY!!"
My heart melted!
Then off we went to go take her to Dairy Queen. I know it is a fine establishment! Brailey loves their chiken and ice cream! She was so happy to see us and to tell us about her day.
So I ask "Brailey did you like school?" She says "Yeah!" So I say "Great! Well do you want to go back?" She says "No thanks!"
Little does she know Thursday she will be going back.

Ohhh and I know you are all wondering. Did I cry? The answer is shockingly no :)
