REWARDS!!!
As you all know I recently went to a Women’s Conference. It was so amazing!! There is something that is so priceless to get away from the kids for a few days and just feed your spirit. God was so good to me that whole weekend, and I am so excited to be able to share with you all the good that God did in my life.
Hebrews 11:6 without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Keep this scripture in mind as I tell you all that happened…..
First-Last year at conference I watched Ms. Dodie Osteen preach and thought “Lord I would love the opportunity to meet her one day”. At conference this year I got to go to a luncheon event with her and April Simons. I can’t tell you what a blessing this was for me. There are very few people that are true what I call “Legends of the Faith”. Ms. Dodie Osteen is one of those Legends. I have such a respect for her and her ministry. So I got to hug her, listen to her, get my spirit fed by her words of amazing wisdom, and she said I was pretty . What girl doesn’t like to hear that she is pretty, but from my hero it is priceless *tear*. It is a moment that I will never forget.
Second-I could have just been in the sea of people that were there. God didn’t just sit me at the back of the audience no no no. God sat me right behind her! God put favor on me. I didn’t just get to hear her speak but I could have almost have reached out and touched her and Mrs. April. What a blessing!
Thirdly- There was a necklace that I saw the first night. I really wanted it. At that point though they were completely sold out of them. I was a little sad because I was thinking of all of the things I could wear with it. I looked that whole weekend at stores for one similar to that one; to no avail. I was a little sad. So I go to the last evening service. I see a beautiful lady wearing the necklace that I so wanted. I commented to her that I had wanted that necklace, but can’t find them anywhere. A few minutes later my friend comes up to me and tells me that she wanted to give me her necklace. The hardest thing in life is for me to receive. It breaks my heart when someone gives up something that they enjoy to give it to me. I have learned though when I don’t receive it the person giving won’t receive a blessing from God for their obedience. So it hurt to take it. So humbling to receive something from others.
Fourth- I have been on a hunt for a Little Miss Sunshine shirt for my daughter for about two months now. While looking for the necklace I found her a shirt. I really wanted one for myself also, because it will be cute for our family pictures with her and me. So I look all day, and am so sad because I hadn’t found the necklace or the shirt at this point. Well I go out to eat after I got my beautiful necklace. What do you know I see a girl wearing a Little Miss Sunshine shirt. I talk to her and tell her how bad I wanted that shirt, and have been looking for one. I come back by a little later and she is wearing another shirt. She then gave me the Little Miss Sunshine shirt. She tells me: “I really never wear this shirt. I don’t know why I even wore it today.” Well I know why she did, because I had wanted one.
The Sunday after I got back during praise and worship I was just thanking God for all that He had done that weekend. As worship continued God told me “When you ask for something I am listening.” WOW!!! God is ready and willing to meet any need that we have, all we have to do is ask. That is all that it takes. If you believe Hebrews 11:6 you will be rewarded. It is such a faith booster for me because I know if God can come through on letting me meet my hero, favor to get good seats, a necklace, and a shirt then He will meet my big needs also.
Girls I just have to ask you today are you seeking Him? Are you letting God know the desires of your heart. If you start putting Him first and truly seeking Him with all your heart He will reward you! If that isn’t good news I don’t know what is!
I would like for you to pray this with me if you are believing God for anything no matter how big or small:
Lord I know you know the desires of my heart. Nothing is too small for you and nothing is too big. Lord I thank you that you watch over your word to perform it. I thank you right now that you are perfecting that which concerns me. Father I thank you for supernatural income to pay debt, family members being saved, marriages restored, addictions broken, and hearts mended. Lord I thank you that you will answer my prayer quickly, give me peace and assurance as I wait for you to move in my life. I give you the Glory and the praise! In JESUS MIGHTY NAME! AMEN
I love ya’ll and always enjoy your comments! Thanks so much for stopping by and reading today! God’s favor and blessings!!!

Get your party shoes on girls
I think that it is so easy to hear a story so many times that we don't see what else God may be trying to tell us through that story. So here it goes. I know that you have heard this story before, but I hope that I put it into a new light today.
Luke 15
11Jesus continued: "There was a man who had two sons. 12The younger one said to his father, 'Father, give me my share of the estate.' So he divided his property between them.
13"Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. 14After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. 15So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. 16He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.
17"When he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.' 20So he got up and went to his father.
"But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
21"The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.[b]'
22"But the father said to his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate. 24For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' So they began to celebrate.
25"Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. 26So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. 27'Your brother has come,' he replied, 'and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.'
28"The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. 29But he answered his father, 'Look! All these years I've been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. 30But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!'
31" 'My son,' the father said, 'you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. 32But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' "
So I don't want to focus on the son that was lost. I think that he gets a lot of focus in this story. I think that Jesus was trying to show us something else in these verses.
So here is this son that went out and did all kinds of disgraceful things. Want to talk about shaming the family! The father and the rest of the family I am sure that they wondered if he was even alive. Those days there weren't cell phones for him to call and check in. So can you grasp the excitement in the father's heart when he saw him coming? I don't know about you, but I would be rejoicing as he was coming up the road.
Well then you got the other son. This guy is a big time no fun. He is the one that no one even wants at a party. This guy loves himself and bases who he is on how wonderful and perfect he is.
How do I know that?
The first thing is he won't even go into the party. He didn't know if his brother was ok for who knows how long, and he is sitting outside while everyone is excited to see he is ok. This guy is just chilling not being a part of fun. Obviously drawing a line between himself and them.
Second when the father asks why he isn't in the party he immediately pulls out how great he has been in the past how he has never done anything wrong. The other son is the one that has done all the wrong things. The second son (party pooper) wants everything to be about him.
Girls listen.....
There is a party going on in life and it is going to happen with or without you. Life is made to be enjoyed. So many times we get so wrapped up in what we are doing, what others are doing, and how we aren't getting what we feel like we should. Get over yourself.
About 6 months ago I had my plate overflowing. I watched others around me busy with what they wanted to do. Busy with there own agendas...I got bitter. I was like am I the only one working for God's kingdom? Here I am working so hard and they are out doing whatever they want....wha wha whah.....I know you know what I am talking about you have done it too....When the Lord spoke to my heart and said "You are doing what you are doing because this is where I called you. You said that you would do it, so why are you complaining?" That shut me up really quick.
I was like the brother sitting pouting on the porch. Here God was working all of these wonderful things all around me, peoples lives being changed, and all I could do is sit on the porch and pout. It isn't all about me everyday. I want to wake up and do whatever I want. Instead I am busy everyday with church stuff. I took for granted that what I was busy doing was that which I was called to do. We have to stop looking at what others are doing and be sure of the call that God placed inside of us and walk with that!
So many times ladies we get into a poor me. We sit around and think of how rough it is for me. How bad things are for me. How others just aren't treating us like we feel as though we should be treated. When all along there is a party going on and God is inviting us in. To come in and enjoy life. All we have to do is leave the porch and enter in!
The joy of the Lord is our strength that is what the Bible says. When you loose joy in the things in life is when you loose the zeal for life. Life becomes routine. You just go through the motions. I don't ever want to be like that. I want to enjoy where I am and what I am doing. You need to keep your eyes on God and what He is doing inside of you. Don't look to the right or the left at what He is doing in others.....they don't matter. Just look at you and where you came from and rejoice in that!
God wants your life to be fun no matter what you do. You don't have to be in "the ministry" to be doing God's work. You can be a teacher, store owner, mommy, or a waiter. Whatever you do that is where God has placed you. Make that your platform to make a difference in people. Don't sit around and sulk comparing cards. Put on your party clothes and a little lip gloss and go into the party!
A little game of tag anyone?
I have been tagged...well, actually I was tagged two weeks ago by Mrs. Laurie Anna's and have only just now been able to post. So, here goes...
1. Link back to the person that tagged you (see the link above).
2. Post these rules on your blog.
3. Share six unimportant things about yourself.
4. Tag six people at the end of your entry.
Here are the 6 Unimportant things about myself:
1. All silverwear must be organized in the dishwasher. Spoons can't mingle with the forks it makes me crazy!!
2. I am always afraid of running out of things so I will use 3/4 of a shampoo bottle then start a new bottle. So that way if I run out of the other I will still have 1/4 in the cabinet. I do this with everything! My husband still doesn't get it.
3. There is nothing I love more then to have a cup of coffee and watch Joyce Meyer in the moring.
4. I love the smell of gasoline while filling up in the summer time.
5. Windex will clean and make anything better.
6. I am a scatterbrain. I want to remember things and be organized, but for some reason that just doesn't work for me. So don't trust me to remember anything! LOL
Here are my 6 inspiring friends that I choose to tag:
1. Warm Pie Happy Home
2. Sweetest Name
3. Cherry Hill
4. Beth Jones
5. Curious Sofa
6. Laurie Anna's (you don't have to since you taged me)
